Grants are essential for ICEL’s work in cognitive ergonomics and intelligent systems. With this funding, we can explore new ideas and create smarter technologies. They help ICEL buy advanced equipment, support researchers and perform important experiments. These resources also allow the lab to work with other experts and share discoveries widely. By securing grants, ICEL can solve tough problems in automated driving, healthcare and human-in-the-loop systems. With these funds, the lab can focus on designing safer and more useful technologies. Ultimately, these funds ensure ICEL continues to create solutions that meet human needs and improve how people interact with technology.
NOTE: The lab’s primary investigator (PI) has secured >$3M external grants as PI and shared an additional $4M as co-primary investigator (Co-PI) from the NSF, NIOSH, DOT and industrial sponsors.
